SAINT-QUENIN'S CHAPEL
12th century chapel named after the esteemed bishop of Vaison in the 6th century, with a triangular apse and decor of ancient inspiration
Located in the north of the city on a vast sepulchral area, this chapel, which bears the name of the patron saint of the city, a highly esteemed bishop of Vaison in the 6th century, was built in the 12th century. You can admire its triangular apse. Its decoration of ancient inspiration misled, for a long time, the historians who saw there a Roman building. The buildings adjacent to it were occupied by the canons of the Notre-Dame de Nazareth cathedral. From the Saint-Quenin chapel, a country path and a pleasant calade lead to the cathedral.
