CASTLE OF THE ALLYMES
13th century castle with preserved military architecture, overlooking the plain of the Ain, lookout of the keep accessible by the staircase.
Built on a promontory in the 13th century, majestically overlooking the Ain plain, from where it offers a bird's-eye view of the surrounding regions, this fortress has retained its military massiveness. Built by the Dauphin of Vienne during the war against the Count of Savoy (1272-1355), the Château des Allymes - which has undergone several restorations - has retained the purity of its military architecture to this day. On guided tours, you can climb the 63-step spiral staircase and access the keep's belvedere at an additional cost.

Castle, located under the mount Luisandre, a breathtaking view of la, the Beaujolais and built.
Moreover, there are many walks around.
Only small inconvenience: the parking is very small and the village not large difficult to be parked when there are many people.
