An emblematic site of the Ain preserved and developed by the Department with the creation of a Sensitive Natural Area Haute-Vallée de l'Ain. Remarkable landscapes, but also a fauna (peregrine falcon, kingfisher, chamois...) and a flora (among which the pyramidal orchid) of an incredible richness along the river of Ain, on the more than 25 km which separate the dam of Allement in Poncin to the bridge of Thoirette in Matafelon-Granges. Breathtaking panoramic views, but also the Chambod island where it is good to relax.
