BERNARD GONNET ÉMAILLEUR
Bernard Gonnet is an enameller and metal decorator based in Lescheroux. Born into a family of blacksmiths and farmers, he developed his passion for enameling in 1970, entering the profession in 1976. He is trained in the techniques of chasing, fusing and thermo-forming glass, glass-blowing with a blowtorch, bronze casting and molding. His creations include paintings, vases, sculptures and goblets, each a unique piece. He uses a varied technical palette, combining traditional glazes with resources from glass and ceramics. His work is exhibited at the Galerie du Canal in Limoges, in the Talents d'Ateliers d'Art de France boutique in Paris, and in his studio in Lescheroux (by appointment only). He also organizes enamel workshops. Bernard Gonnet's enamels can be found in the collections of several museums, including the Musée des Pays-de l'Ain, the Musée de Pierre de Bresse, the Musée des beaux-arts de Limoges and the Musée de Ravenstein in the Netherlands.
