ST. APOLLINAIRE CHURCH

Church with red bricks in Meximieux, preserving a certain majesty, and sheltering classified stalls inside.
The church was founded in the 15th century on what were probably much older foundations, and was remodelled in the 17th century and a second time in the 19th century. The church also suffered a fire at the beginning of the 20th century. A must-see for lovers of medieval architecture, the church of Meximieux was built using local materials: red bricks or carrons, made from local clay, and pebbles. Nevertheless, despite the passage of time and the vagaries of history, Saint-Apollinaire has retained a certain majesty. Classified stalls inside.
