SAINTE MARIE-MADELEINE CHURCH
Church located at the entrance of the village by the door of En Haut, whose interior has pillars and Gothic vaults.
Located at the entrance of the town by the door of En Haut, the church-fortress of Pérouges was built in 1468. It replaced the church of Saint-Georges outside the walls in order to be integrated into the defensive system of the city. Inside, one must admire the beauty of the pillars and the Gothic vaults, but also the lights created by the stained glass windows that illuminate the nave and the side chapels. The statue of Saint George (patron saint of the city) slaying the dragon is noteworthy.

Ceux qui n'y ont pas trouvé d'intérêt ont mal regardé ou auraient du suivre un tour guidé ! Des plaques sur les piliers donnent des explications. Un endroit superbe à voir absolument ! Un de mes endroits préférés du village
