LES PLATANES
Beautiful address in the heart of the village of Pont-de-Vaux elaborating a seasonal menu with an excellent quality-price ratio.
Between the Saône-et-Loire and the Ain, here there is only one bridge separating the two departments, so it would have been a shame to miss this beautiful address. Les Platanes is really a good address to know! A rustic house from the outside, located in the heart of the village of Pont-de-Vaux, it is one of those tables that you book with your eyes closed for a family meal on a Sunday lunchtime. The renovated dining room has the look of a candy box with pink tones and comfortable armchairs, with a room configuration that can easily evolve from a romantic dinner to a family table, and complete and generous formulas from a kitchen that has proven its worth. A very young and efficient team manages the service, while the chef, from time to time, points his nose at making sure everyone is satisfied. This January, the seasonal menu offers pumpkin pox and sot-l'y-laisse of chicken velouté with porcini mushrooms, a hearty and very fine starter followed by a quasi of sliced veal and cromesquis de comté jus au vin jaune, with perfect cooking and great refinement for this dish. Finally, the soufflé au Grand-Marnier is as light as it is divine and allows you to end a meal in the best possible way. An excellent value for money.
