LE SAINT-LAURENT
Brasserie with terrace in Saint-Laurent elaborating a revisited menu of creative cuisine with quality products.
In keeping with the spirit of Georges Blanc, the famous chef of Vonnas, the St. Lawrence has a chic brasserie atmosphere. Situated on the left bank of the Saône River coming from the north, on the St. Lawrence peninsula, it floats like a little riviera air when the large terrace is installed in fine weather. With its contemporary facade and blue lighting in the evening, this brasserie blends the "Belle époque" style of the rooms with the fetish colours of "l'Esprit Blanc", red and white. Philippe Mazuir, the reigning chef and his team, have concocted a menu imagined and proposed by Georges Blanc. This menu revisits the family tradition and boasts a creative and reasoned cuisine using high quality products, as the restaurant's inspirational chef likes to repeat. Thus, as the seasons change, it changes once a month, but the emblematic Bresse PDO creamed chicken "according to the mother Blanc" often returns, as do the fresh frogs sautéed in parsley. This day, the winter menu begins with a shoulder of pork confit in parsleyed jelly and green lentils from Le Puy, followed by a can of Dombes cheese in orange "as in the old days", and the traditional white cheese in faisselle finishes a pleasant and generous regional menu. A sure thing!
