SENSITIVE NATURAL SPACE OF THE VAUVRE
The Sensitive Natural Area of the Vauvre is located at the level of exit N ° 9 of the A 71. It is divided into two separate parts separated by the A 71 motorway. The northern part is translated by a 23-hectare water plan (from the operation of La Grave to the construction of the motorway) and the southern part consists mainly of a alluvial forest that has evolved naturally over the years (known as the Ovenbirds Island). Twenty-four natural habitats were listed on the site. Eight of them are of Community interest such as white saulaies or mégaphorbiaies. 270 species of plants were inventoried, 160 bird species were observed, breeding such as the european duck in winter, as well as black Milan, osprey or the pappus garzette fishing. The site also houses 25 species of dragonflies, 30 butterflies, 10 species of amphibians and reptiles. Browse through the signposted trail with informative booklets.
