ST. GEORGE'S CHURCH
A church with an atypical steeple on the commune's hillside, with Merovingian sarcophagi under a glass roof at its foot.
Built in the early Middle Ages on the remains of a Roman building from the 3rd century AD. A wall of this Gallo-Roman building is still clearly visible. At that time, it was a Christian basilica from which Saint Patroclo, who came from Berry, evangelized the region. The present church, undoubtedly damaged by a fire, was raised in the 11th and 12th centuries. At the foot of the church, the sarcophagi are displayed on the very spot where they were discovered, protected by two glass pyramids. Next to it, a section of the wall of the medieval castle of Neris can be seen.
