OUTRE TERRE
Restaurant with terrace near the Roman bridge in Annonay elaborating a tempting menu and quality products to choose from.
This restaurant, a stone's throw from the Roman bridge, has maintained its quality over the years. A few steps down lead to beautiful vaulted rooms (also upstairs), just renovated. Very pleasant, cosy atmosphere. Extremely friendly service, with the delicate touch of humor that makes all the difference. However, you'll need to allow a little time on certain days if you want to be served promptly at lunchtime. The menu is tempting. So is the daily menu. The house-smoked salmon with herb cream sauce, foie gras custard and mesclun was perfect. This was followed by a tender shallot onglet with crisp vegetables, including savory broccoli and porcini mushrooms. And to finish, a gourmet festival: cinnamon moelleux, chestnut ice cream, crème renversée and bananas snacked with rum. Bravo for the elegance of the plates and the choice of quality products: prawns, scallops, beef fillet, homemade foie gras, etc. It's best to call ahead in spring to make sure the restaurant is open on Mondays. In summer, enjoy the sidewalk terrace with its small goldfish pond.
