LA BÉALIÈRE
Small bistro in Antraigues-sur-Volane offering simple cuisine, daily specials and salads.
This is the little bistro of the Castagno inn. A "béalière" - a small diversion canal used for irrigation or to feed a mill - above the Volane, a small stone house that seems to defy suspended time. The cuisine is simple and the dishes of the day smell of the land, the omelettes and salads do not cheat any more than the fire that crackles in the fireplace. Petit Futé remembers having crossed Antraigues one winter evening and having found refuge at this address when many others had closed their doors. A warm welcome guaranteed.
