ST. LAWRENCE CHURCH
Built in 1220 as a Dominican chapel, it became the parish church.
The church of Saint-Laurent, built in 1220 as a Dominican chapel, became the parish church. Almost razed to the ground during the Wars of Religion, it was rebuilt after the Edict of Nantes. Only the small chapel of the martyrs remains from the primitive church, a tribute to the two Jesuit fathers killed during the Wars of Religion. The central nave contrasts with the facade renovated at the end of the 19th century in the neo-Romanesque style. When the chapel of the former Jesuit College was destroyed in 1910, ornaments and woodwork were recovered for the church.
