THE CENTRAL ARDÈCHE MOUNTAIN

The Gerbier, Coucouron and Tanargue countries show the size of their expanses. Poorly connected to each other, sparsely populated with a density often less than 10 inhabitants per square kilometer, they do not have a recognized center. Coucouron, the most populated and well-equipped municipality has just over 700 inhabitants. The other 25 municipalities have less than 500 inhabitants each. Today the country is trying to unite to build tourism. This includes extending the period of mountain attendance, diversifying practices, doubling green tourism in the summer with snow tourism.

So, winter as summer, the Ardéchoan central mountain keeps promising us good bowls of air, beautiful rackets, Nordic trips, magnificent hiking trails. The scenery is rough, because life is sometimes hard for people. The country is deeply attached.
