The museum reveals an eventful history, from the 17th century to the present day, and a heritage that has contributed to the town's worldwide renown. The museum occupies the birthplace of the Montgolfier brothers, in the heart of the Manufacture Royale. A visit to the museum includes a video, a demonstration of hand papermaking, animated machines and a dozen rooms showing the evolution of papermaking techniques over the centuries.
