PARCOURS ARTISTIQUE LIGNE DE PARTAGE DES EAUX

The watershed crosses the Ardèche mountains, invisible. It now offers an artistic journey in the open air, original and aerial. From the first pictorial works of humanity on the walls of the Chauvet Cave to contemporary creation, it is a new dialogue between the millennia for a territory that is a source of inspiration and creation. The dividing line has been made visible by landscape architect Gilles Clément through five remarkable geological and heritage sites: the Chartreuse de Bonnefoy, Mont Gerbier-de-Jonc, Abbaye de Mazan, Tour de Borne and Notre-Dame des Neiges, which host contemporary works of art created to their measure by internationally renowned artists. In addition, the watershed crosses the GR7 and the Grande Traversée VTT on a path equipped with furniture created in collaboration with designer Eric Benqué from natural resources and local know-how. On both sides of the route, escapes will be proposed in connection with the partner cultural and tourist sites.
