MUSEUM OF CARICATURE AND HUMOR DRAWING
Museum in an 18th century mansion, dedicated to caricature and humor.
In this 18th century private mansion - the Montravel mansion - listed in the directory of the hundred most beautiful private mansions in Rhône-Alpes, we discover a private mansion, and unique in France, dedicated to caricature and caricature. A space where many caricatures are exhibited retracing the history of gender in our country. Among the artists presented, we can mention Roland Hours, a local child born in Joyeuse, Alain Dubouillon, Alf, Biz, Cambon, Japhi, Larivière... At the end of October, for a weekend, the museum has hosted the Festival de la caricature et du dessin d'humour de Joyeuse for the past 10 years, which takes place at the same time as the Salon gourmand. With a competition open to children. And since 2015, a special tribute to Charlie Hebdo.
