CHÂTEAU DE LA VOULTE
Castle overlooking the Rhone built from the 13th to the 17th century, burned in 1944, the repair of the roof has allowed to preserve its eastern part.
On the side of a cliff, this castle dominates the Rhône and stands out like a monumental rampart between the banks of the river and the entrance to the old town. This castle was built between the 13th and the first half of the 17th century by the Bermond d'Anduze, lords of La Voulte from 1251 to 1408, then by the Lévis who succeeded them in 1408 after the death of Louis d'Anduze. The castle burned in August 1944 and the entire western part is in ruins; to the east, the repair of the roof has preserved the building without any interior restoration of the floors.
