On 20 April 2020, the artist Jacques Kikoïne dit Yankel celebrates his 100th birthday. Son of the painter Michel Kikoïne, Yankel has exhibited all over France and abroad, and has long found peace and inspiration in the picturesque village of Labeaume in the Ardèche. For its centenary, the Ardèche pays tribute to him through a "Yankel" season with events throughout the territory. The programme includes a documentary film, a photographic exhibition of the artist's work as he travels around the network of 21 villages of character in the Ardèche, and of course the hanging of Yankel's works in galleries and other places
