LE VIVARAIS
1 star restaurant in Vals-les-Bains elaborating regional dishes with local products and an Ardèche delicatessen.
Not to be confused with the other establishment of the same name, stamped with a Michelin star, which is located in Vals-les-Bains. Vivarais de Lalouvesc, located at an altitude of 1,080 m in the centre of the small town, is much more modest but not lacking in charm. Here is an address of the country of mushrooms and chestnuts, blueberries and raspberries, quite pleasant and which confirms its qualities year after year. The restaurant offers regional dishes based on local products. You will certainly love the Ardèche charcuterie, followed by a faux-filet with ceps, frogs' legs, veal kidneys with ceps or a pan-fried sweetbread with parsley, always served with seasonal vegetables. Everything is of high quality, traditional and meticulous. For dessert: homemade pie or cake, the excellent chestnut cake and the famous blueberry pie. Family and warm welcome. And the feeling of being at home...
