PEYCHELARD CASTLE
Castle of the Xth century built by the lords of La Mastre, private property to be discovered through the hiking trails of the surroundings.
Situated on a spur overlooking the Doux, Condoie and Grozon rivers, the castle was built in the 10th century by the lords of La Mastre. The first lord whose name is known was Adhémar de Mastra in 1082. After a very lively history, marked by wars and looting, it was abandoned in 1792, at the death of the last lord of the place. If Peychelard is now a private property, several hiking trails allow you to discover it more closely. The place is not recommended for young children.
