MUSEUM OF VANS
Museum presenting the results of archaeological excavations in the Vans region, including dolmens, fishermen's caves, minerals and fossils.
This museum is housed in the buildings of a former convent and a former silk mill. Five exhibitions allow visitors to discover the different facets of the region. The Cévenne ardéchoise, the collections of geology, archaeology, ethnography and medicine allow you to discover the nature, the culture or the personality of the men who have shaped this historic region. Of particular interest is the section dealing with the cultivation of the olive tree and the biography of Léopold Ollier (1830-1900), the surgeon from the Vanse region who performed the first bone graft.
