ANCIENNE ÉGLISE SAINT-JEAN-BAPTISTE
Formerly a busy St. John the Baptist church, classified as a historical monument, ideal for attending a concert or an exhibition.
The former church of St. John the Baptist is located in the heart of the medieval town of Meysse. It is decorated with superb frescoes and houses a rare immersion baptistery dating from the Merovingian period (7th century). Impossible during a stroll in the town not to go and admire this monument and classified as a historical monument since 1971. The place is no longer dedicated to worship, the municipality has made a point of making it a real place of life, and it is often possible to go there to attend a concert or exhibition.
