OLWISHEIM CHURCH
This church, nestled in the heart of the old village, sometimes hosts concerts or poetry readings.
This Romanesque edifice, built in the 12th century and dedicated to Saint Peter and Saint Paul, was modified until the 18th century. When the French king Louis XIV imposed simultaneum, the obligation for Catholics and Protestants to share the same place of worship, the two communities fought over its use. Since then, relations have calmed down. Nestled in the heart of the old village, surrounded by half-timbered houses and greenery, the church sometimes hosts concerts or poetry readings in addition to services.
