A large rock with a height of 50 m above the village of Saint-Clement and the valley of Besbre is where the chapel was erected in 1865 following a vow by Abbot Bletterie, Pastor of Saint-Clément. It will be replaced by a new construction in 1913. All around, the statues of Notre-Dame de la Salette are the replicas of those found on the scene of the appearance of the Virgin to two shepherds of La Salette in Isère. This chapel is a pilgrimage site frequented by the population of the Bourbonnaise Mountain.
