MONT CHINIAC
Go there and contact
A mountain offering a remarkable view of the plateau and its "bitter", the Lizieux peak, as well as the Sucs chain.
At the top of Mount Chiniac, on the west side, an orientation table offers a remarkable view of the plateau and its "bitter" - the peak of Lizieux - 1,388 m and 12 million years of history -, and on the chain of Sucs aligned, the Sara, the Signon, the Gerbier-de-Jonc, Mézenc, Alambre. The fountain located nearby is worth a visit. It is recognized as having miraculous powers. Legend has it that the spring that feeds it was born from the head of a martyr beheaded by the locals, and that this saint Agrippa, who gave his name to Saint-Agrève, died on the site in 650.
