SALAISONS TEYSSIER
Founded in 1871, in the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche regional park, Maison Teyssier specialises in the manufacture of sausages, hams, cooked sausages and canned meat typical of the Ardèche region. Its know-how in the service of tradition is recognised by the label Entreprise du patrimoine vivant.
History. It all began with Victorin Teyssier's installation in Saint-Agrève, on the Ardèche plateau. Already, it manufactures and serves its sausages, hams and Ardèche specialities to demanding amateurs. He has no idea that he has just laid the foundations of a family business, whose 5th generation still perpetuates a history, a know-how and a tradition.
Still installed, 140 years later, in the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Park, its cured meats are the highest in France! The company, located at an altitude of 1,136 m, in the middle of pine forests, benefits from a unique climate that is conducive to high quality maturing. The pure and invigorating air of Saint-Agrève gives its sausages and cured meats an incomparable flavour.
Today, it is one of the last manufacturers to perpetuate traditional production methods. Its three production workshops, all located in Saint-Agrève, produce a wide range of delicatessen products, most of which are sold as butcher's shops and delicatessens.
In 2017, the Ardèche company was integrated into Jean Stalaven, Euralis' food subsidiary. It is currently completing its expansion work.
The products. Les Salaisons Teyssier offers large pieces for sale "for cutting": dry sausages, hams and cured meats, cooked sausages, but also small pieces for self-service such as pâté de campagne and cooked sausages. The company also maintains a dry grocery store in cans and jars.
Employment. 90 employees, 1,200 tonnes of ham, sausages and cooked sausages, 11,000 m2 of manufacturing space, a shop in Saint-Agrève and a turnover of 16.1 million euros.
