NOUGARDÉCHOIS
A native of the region, Simon Rouchier is now a farmer-confectioner. A former chocolatier who wanted to move into arboriculture, he decided to combine his two passions: confectionery and agriculture. On 2 hectares, he grows organic apricots, apples, plums, blackcurrants, strawberries, raspberries, redcurrants and blackberries. In his artisanal workshop, he transforms them into sweet delights: candied fruits coated in chocolate, fruit jellies, but also nectars, syrups, jams and even nougat, hence the name of his small business: Au nougat ardéchois. Gourmets melt!
