The Mastrou, a steam train powered by charcoal, took passengers to the famous Lamastre market.

Come aboard the Mastrou, the historic train that has been running along the Chemin de Fer du Vivarais line since 1891, and discover the beautiful Doux valley. This little steam train offers a ride at the pace of yesteryear, in a truly astonishing natural setting. At the time, it served all the stations on its route. Today, this line, "Le Mastrou", is very popular with tourists during the high season. It's one of the local sights well worth a visit.

Si les locomotives à vapeur et les vieux trains vous plaisent, allez y vite, attention tout de même à votre porte monnaie le coût de la place est élevé pour la ballade. Le demi tour de la locomotive est l attraction de la ballade. Les paysages sont jolis mais habituels pour les habitants de la région comme nous.. Pas de paysages époustouflants. A faire si vous avez fait tout le reste et que votre porte monnaie est encore plein.
