THE PROTESTANT TEMPLE
This Protestant church stands on the foundations of the old church dating from 1580.
Inaugurated in 1825, this imposing Protestant temple stands on the foundations of the old temple dating from 1580. For the record, the façade is topped by a recent stained glass window "La Croix Huguenotte". The staircase that leads to the current worship room reveals a rare work, a magnificent desert pulpit that was used for clandestine worship. Also visible is a very beautiful walnut cathedra in the Gothic style, covered with a canopy, the former presiding seat of the court of justice of Chalencon.
