THE TOWERS TRAIL
A signposted one-hour walk overlooking Tournon's old town and the Rhône valley.
It's a nice walkway marked out for about an hour. It's an opportunity to get some height over the city and to dominate the old center of Tournon as well as the Rhône valley. This path runs along the 16th century city wall of which only two watchtowers remain. Hence the Latin motto of the city, Turris Fortissima: stronger thanks to its towers. The departure is by the ascent of the hospital staircase which leads to the tower of the Virgin. Ideal for a family walk because it is easily accessible to children.
