HUGUENOT CAVE
Grotte des Huguenots in the Ardèche gorges, with an exhibition of archaeological remains and geological models.
Located in the Ardèche gorges, one kilometre from the Pont d'Arc. The name of the cave comes from a legend according to which Huguenots found refuge there during the Wars of Religion. An ogival porch, 30 meters high, houses an exhibition of archaeological remains, geological models and different techniques of speleology. The visit is completed by a booklet-guide, available in five languages, and a 20-minute audiovisual presentation. Hiking and caving activities are also possible.
