LA ROUTE DES GORGES
A beautiful tourist route opened in 1969, where you'll come across a herd or two of goats, escaped from a farm.
Opened in 1969, this beautiful tourist route climbs to the top of the gorges from the Pont d'Arc, and follows them for 29 km inside the nature reserve. Eleven lookouts have been set up, and all are well worth a stop, as the views are different at every bend in the river. It will take you around 2 hours to make the connection between Vallon Pont-d'Arc and Saint-Martin-de-l'Ardèche at the other end. Along the way, you're likely to come across a herd or two of goats, escaped from a farm years ago and returned to the wild.
