Church in Vogué, a well-preserved jewel of Romanesque art in Benedictine style, with pyramidal dome and capitals in Byzantine style.
It is a jewel of Romanesque art. Despite its small size, it is a completed example of a Benedictine or Latin cross style building. Its exceptional state of preservation is remarkable. It is also distinguished by a rare pyramidal dome, at the crossing of the transept, supporting the bell tower. The capitals of the pillars of the triumphal arch are a reuse of the primitive church dating from the 6th century. They are of a Byzantine or Mozarabic style. Sauveplade ? Silva plantata means "planted forest", the one cleared for cultivation.
