You can't miss this large building located five minutes from Varennes on the road to Moulins, a practical stopover for about ten years, to settle down with your family or during a visit for professionals. The hotel has classic and comfortable rooms in single, double and family versions, and two are accessible to people with reduced mobility. Some have a minibar, and all have an office, a modern bathroom, with a shower or bathtub and separate toilets. The second floor has been completely renovated. At your disposal, two large relaxation rooms surrounded by greenery, and a pleasant bar. The restaurant area includes three bright rooms with spaced tables. On the menu, mixed salads, as well as the chef's specialities: frog legs, local charolais paving stone, and a whole assortment of carefully selected wines. On sunny days, take advantage of the shaded terrace to enjoy barbecue grills. Next door, artisanal pizzas are available at Petit Relais de la Route Bleue, 24 hours a day, in a vending machine and cooked in three minutes. Le personnel est accueillant mais on sent que l'organisation n'est pas encore au rendez-vous. Cela s'est particulièrement vu au repas du soir. Désorganisé et limite agréable vis à vis des enfants, l'impression que la désorganisation du service rendait le personnel un peu tendu.
Les plats "traditionnels" n'était clairement pas à la hauteur du tarif. Il y avait des spécialités réunionnaises, nous aurions presque préféré les prendre à posteriori.
Quand au petit-déjeuner, pour nous le rapport qualité-prix n'y était pas.
En somme, l'hôtel est un peu vieillot mais propre et fait le job mais le restaurant doit s'améliorer pour être à la hauteur du tarif
Un menu du jour très abordable et copieux.
