SENSITIVE NATURAL SPACE - DRINKING FROM THE EDGES
The Boire is located between Saint-Germain-des-Fossés and Saint-Rémy-en-Rollat, accessible by a road from the RD 67 which bypasses Vichy. Follow the road to the parking lot, to discover two trails, the Circuit circuit and the tour of it where fishermen and bikers are also welcome. You're going to browse diverse natural environments and despite the recent dominance of river forests, meadows and lawns still cover beautiful areas. The drinking of the Squares, the drinking Platte and the Cours de l'Allier offer many aquatic biotopes. The biodiversity of the places is really important. Notable species such as cistude, beaver, bitterlings, terns, four species of herons, œdicnème, more than 40 diurnal butterflies or 400 species of plants live here. The time for migration brings a lot of adult visitors (birds, butterflies), but also salmon, great shad or eel that passes here. Winter hosts other hosts like many ducks and other water birds. These remarkable natural riches have 80 000 inhabitants and the site has been very popular for decades.
