Every two years, in January, in the framework of the International Gastronomy Festival «Les Neiges Etoilées» from the Station of Châtel (Portes du Soleil), the Competition des chefs (amateurs or not) takes place. A culinary challenge on an imposed theme: 2 dishes for 6 people to send in 3 h. In 2016, under the sponsorship of Marc Veyrat, the dish was vegetarian and dessert composed of simple (kind of almond biscuit), bilberries, sabayon to lemon and dry vermouth in Chambéry. From the reinterpreted room! The three winners are lucky enough to be offered a small amount of money and, above all, a course in a star institution. Everything is gathered to become a great chef!
