Located on the west shore of the lake, this hotel has been in the water for a century. Opening its shutters with a lake view is rare! Look out in the morning in the pure waters facing the mountains of the Aravis massif. It's magic, like feeling the public prosecutor's office in a house where you sleep deep sleep— if you ask for a room side of the lake. The hotel at reasonable prices would ask for a small refreshment. The reception is professional. The owner is in the kitchen for the preparation of the lake fish, a savoyard pick or a toast lamb saddle in Provence. Eat lunch or dinner while enjoying the unique view of the sun on the two terraces. The private pontoon makes it possible to take a bath in the transparent waters of the lake and the mooring loop allows to come with its boat. A relaxing stop to enjoy all the pleasures of this exceptional environment.

Very disappointing hotel. We found the staff to be rude, with questionable personal hygiene. The hotel itself is old and has not aged well. The rooms are moldy and really too small for comfort.
It is in a beautiful area, and right by the lakeside, so there is that. And it is relatively cheap.
Unfortunately, there are traffic jams so if you come by car and want to visit the area, expect to spent much time stuck in traffic. Most of the places to visit and activities are in Annecy, where you will find many small B&Bs with far friendlier, competent, and clean staff.
We tried really hard to enjoy the positive, but the clincher was the chef’s behavior (who we think is also the hotel manager). It felt the whole time as if we should be grateful that he allowed us to stay in his hotel.
I would not recommend this hotel. There are so many other places round the lake that we have enjoyed. I hope that other travelers have had more enjoyable experiences.
