CHÂTEAU DE MONTCHENIN
This manor house was built during the reign of Louis XV, according to the principle of the follies of the 18th century.
This manor house was built during the reign of Louis XV, according to the principle of the follies of the 18th century. On the east side, we note the presence of a courtyard closed by outbuildings dating from the 16th and 18th centuries, and where we also have the pleasure of seeing a splendid half-timbered barn built on the will of Henry IV. On the west side, one recognizes a Louis XV style facade overlooking a former French park, the work of a pupil of a certain Le Nôtre. In Bourbonnais style, the castle reminds us of the follies of south-eastern France.
