The castle of Beauce was built in the 11th century on a rocky peak. Baroness Elisabeth Ann Mincer acquired it in 2002 to open it to the public. This feudal fortress consists of several buildings built around a courtyard of honour and the whole dominates the Ebreuil valley. For the record, Georges Cadier de Beauce sold the castle in 1973 to Baron Ephraim Tagori de la Tour, convinced that the building was haunted by the ghost of Lucie, a young woman who died tragically in the clock tower in the 15th century...
