VILLA STRAUSS
The villa Strauss of neo-Louis XIII style, by the architect Hugues Batilliat, and housing the restaurant La Véranda, located in Vichy.
The villa Strauss was built in 1858, in a neo-Louis XIII style, by the architect Hugues Batilliat, on behalf of Isaac Strauss (1806-1888), who in addition to being a composer was also the conductor of the orchestra of Vichy from 1844 to 1859. Napoleon III also stayed here in 1861 and 1862, during his first cures, before his chalets were built. The villa now houses the restaurant "La Veranda", which happens to be the restaurant of the 4-star Aletti Palace hotel, which adjoins it.
