EMILE GUILLAUMIN MUSEUM
Emile Guillaumin (1873 - 1951) lived all his life in Ygrande. As a poet from his earliest age, he wrote his most famous poem "The Life of a simple" in a "locaterie", in the hamlet of the Vineyards, at the entrance of the village of Ygrande from Moulins. Of modest origin, this farmer now has a museum dedicated to him in his hometown. 2 rooms are waiting for you: an audiovisual room, in which it is possible to desuivre projections that situate the environment of the peasant, and the showroom, in which you will discover all kinds of documents: manuscripts, correspondence, or photographs.
