Open all year round. Every day except Tuesday, from 10am to 6.30pm except January 1st, May 1st and December 25th. Permanent collection free. Temporary exhibition €14/adults, €7/reduced. Second exhibition of the year free. Tourism & Handicap label. Only for the mentally handicapped.

The Musée de Grenoble, founded in 1798, welcomes you to its bright, open architecture. The first museum of modern art in the early 20th century, it boasts a unique collection of ancient, modern and contemporary art, including must-haves such as paintings. You'll also discover graphic arts and a collection of antiques. The museum has 6,500 m² devoted to permanent collections, 1,000 m² to temporary exhibitions, an auditorium, a library specializing in art history and a scientific documentation center. There are also children's workshops, a bookshop and a restaurant. In addition to the permanent presentation of its collections, the museum organizes two major temporary exhibitions each year. There is also a third exhibition, organized off-site. The venue also hosts events and meetings, including programs on art, literature, poetry and architecture.... A museum dedicated to art lovers of all ages!
