SAINT TYRUS CHURCH

Built in the th century, the church Saint-Tyrse is a beautiful example of faire novel but under poitevine-limousine influence. She was listed in Historic Monuments in 1977. It would appear that, in the past, two convent churches in Anglards-de-Salers belonged to Mauriac monastery. During the centuries the church underwent several renovations, especially in the th and th centuries. She has 4 interesting chapels, one dedicated to Saint Antoine, formerly in Thyrse, a dead martyr in Asia. Quite austere, the church still deserves the visit. It is just a stone's throw from La Trémollière castle.
