Erected in the 15th century, the château is a listed historic monument. It houses a collection of 10 Aubusson tapestries dating from the 16th century, featuring a picturesque bestiary. These artistic pieces feature creatures such as unicorns and griffins, as well as peacocks and squirrels, magnificently depicted against a background of foliage and "cabbage leaves". The garden was redesigned by two landscape architects who drew their inspiration from medieval gardens while exploring the imaginary world of the Roman de la Rose.
