HOUSES ON THE JORDAN
A shady place to stroll and admire a group of old houses on the right bank of the Jordanne river
You can't avoid the Cours d'Angoulême, a shady walkway where you can admire a group of old houses located on the right bank of the Jordanne. Arriving by the Pont du Buis, the oldest bridge in the town, you will discover this colourful and heterogeneous group of facades with balconies on the very edge of the river. The first buildings date from the 17th century. Their picturesque appearance and their reflection in the calm waters of the river have greatly inspired artists.
