SQUARE SQUARE SQUARE
Square with pedestrian space and café terraces, the focal point of the center of Aurillac, ideal for a moment of relaxation.
This square is the focal point of the town centre, providing a link between the old town and the extension of Aurillac to the south. It has been redeveloped with a pedestrian area and café terraces and an underground car park. Originally designed in 1877 by Jean Charles Adolphe Alphand, who was responsible for the development of the Parc Monceau and the Buttes de Chaumont in Paris, the square is organised as an English-style garden, now listed. You will discover the bust of the poet Arsène Vermenouze. Ideal for a moment of relaxation!
