TRAINING CASTLE
This castle is intended to protect the surrounding populations and the Notre-Dame-du-Pont monastery.
In the 16th century, this castle was intended to protect the surrounding populations and the Notre-Dame-du-Pont monastery. Around 1620, Bertrand Déaura, royal notary, extends the main building and adds to the two original towers a third larger and crenellated. A second wing was built in the 18th century. You will visit the main rooms of the 16th and 17th centuries, richly furnished. You will discover superb French painted ceilings, as well as rare wallpapers from the Directoire period, registered in the inventory of historical monuments.
