Managed by the Departmental Federation of Hunters of the Loire and property of the Foundation for the Protection of Wildlife Habitats, the House des ponds du Forez presents, in an interactive exhibition, the history of the 300 foréziens ponds. The opportunity for the visitor, from 7 years old, to discover, in six separate poles, the historical, natural and human heritages of these sites to preserve. Their ecological wealth, history, fish farming, and also the maintenance of the ponds are presented in respect of wildlife, including wild birds (160 species), interesting to observe, and therefore take place distance from water points from two observatories. A marked path of roads (9 or 7 km) from the Biterne Reserve also allows you to discover not only its ponds but also the charming municipality of Arthun and its heritage.
