Restaurant offering traditional cuisine in Burdignes.

Véronique and Olivier continue the tradition. Owners of this farmhouse, they offer, as the grandparents did from 1975, lodging and meals to their guests. The cuisine has remained traditional. It enchants the gourmands who taste it thanks to specialities composed directly with the products of the farm. Do honour to quail, white pudding, cabbage soup or cold meats. Véronique and Olivier make their own delicatessen and obtain their own dairy products from the neighbouring farms. The yoghurts are made with the milk of the Montbéliardes! If you stay overnight, you can participate in milking and animal care, as well as village activities. After some beautiful hikes in the Loire, you can also find refuge in the rural gîte. Sale of farm produce, perfect for preparing your picnic.

Assez loin de la satisfaction des origines de la maison. Entrée charcutière parcimonieuse et banale pour des producteurs. Fromage en supplément à 3,80€ sans relief, considéré comme accessoire dans un pays réputé pour sa tradition fromagère exceptionnelle. Ce savoir-faire renommé est à l'abandon alors que les grandes surfaces, tant décriées, lui accordent, en revanche, par intérêt certain, elles une place à la hauteur. Heureusement de plus en plus de bonnes tables arborent un vrai plateau en l'honneur de nos fromagers.
Enfin, pour le même prix, les cuisses de grenouilles supporteraient bien un chauffe-plat.

Nous avons été bien accueilli pour déjeuner et la salle est confortable. Ils servent essentiellement des produits locaux et c'est ce qu'on recherche quand on mange dans ce genre d'établissement. Tout était assez copieux et très bien préparé. Peut-être un peu juste au niveau garniture pour un gros mangeur. N'hésitez pas à goûter leur boudin blanc en plat et la coupe ardéchoise en dessert. Il est recommandé de réserver car il y a beaucoup de monde.
